It's true. You are given gifts throughout your education when you sign up for loans through the financial aid dept. When you're accepted, SGU sends you a green travel wallet. In later terms, you're given a an insulated lunch bag (I got mine between 2nd and 3rd term. Anyone know if they still do this?). To answer your question, no planner, but you can bring an unlocked PDA phone and use that as your organizer. However, you probably will not be able to use the wireless internet feature.

You will...it looks like Apple will phase out the clickwheels to be replaced by the touch. Dont forget though that the iphone 3g is significantly more expensive than most people believe - its being subsidized for you by AT&T, at around $400 if not a little more... in actuality, you're paying nearly $1800 for a phone and two years of service for the new iphones. In Italy, unsubsidized pricing is about $770US for the 8GB.

Thanks for all the replies. I just like a paper planner, and got one free from my University for the last four years. It was handy, since it followed the academic year (Aug - July) and had all the school related dates in it like when fees are due and when exams start and finish. Made for easy planning ahead of time...
