personal statement

For the personal statement prompt, it says "Please provide personal information that is otherwise not included in the application." Can I still talk about in more detail things I already mentioned in my the activities/employment list part of the application?

Like elaborating on an experience you had during a job or research that was solely mentioned previously? I dont see why not...

Such as saying in your application that you worked for NIH and then, in your personal statement, describing this great learning experience you had there and how it changed...blah blah blah - yeah, that would work.

I would encourage you to elaborate on an experience that has impacted you a lot. Whether it's something that may have affected your grades or an extracurricular activity that impacted any aspect of your life. As long as you phrase it right, you've got nothing to lose by utilizing that part of the application. Good luck!

leaving it blank?

Haha ..that takes out all the work for sure. I wrote my personal statement. the one I used to write why i wanted to be a doctor. I think most people do that. write about topics related to that and use anecdotes as examples. if some of them come from stuff that was already mentioned that is okay too. if you need help with it let me know. PM me and I can give you some feedback.
