he's got a lot of folks shilling for it on amazon. Its pretty amusing, not well written, but you recognize everyone. The irony was when someone on amazon reiterated a circulating story about him they replied that that was just hostile rumor...unlike his book

By the way, whatever happened to Dr. J. K., the director of physiology (or at least he was when I was in physio in Jan '05)? To refresh your memory, he was the British professor who nearly graduated from medical school until he realized that he didn't like it, and thus began his career as a Physiology prof.

clinical skills start after 6th wk, and goes for 12 wks, 2 exams. midterm on the same wk as path exam 2, micro exam 1. and final the same wk as path exam 3

nutrition starts after micro ends and only last 2 wks i believe, and 1 exam; similar to genetics and parasit
Clinical skills starts the same time as path with lectures & patient interviews now---it is now a 3 credit class in 4th term. Nutrition goes for 3 weeks---it is a 2 credit class.

Dr. B put a stop to these sessions probably b/c people thought CJ was a better teacher than anyone else in the path department. It's hit and miss, if you don't find a path tutor you like, don't fret, there's always Goljan
CJ is as sharp as a tack. He runs circles around Dr. B. Shall he bring his tool box?

Dr. K is at Dalhousie, an excellent university in Nova Scotia...they're lucky to have him. Dr. H took over some of the teaching in physio, and from what I've heard is not that good

So that's not an urban legend? Great to get confirmation. He's still here, but I think this is his last term.

Best of luck to him. This place is holding him back. You guys were lucky to have him, before Dr B told him to stop helping everyone. He needs to move on to bigger and better things.

You know, it's interesting. Here I am, a "successful" grad of SGU attending pathology residency and I wrote D.r B to tell him about some people I have met who would be interested in doing guest lecturing at SGU (people who I know are good lecturers) - he never even replied to my email. I am miffed. Maybe he only hires his friends.
