521 points why dont you just relax and sleep?
term 2 itself will burn you out by midterm, why get a head start on the process

I would welcome the early start too. Even getting a week ahead could really help!

if you're really keen about starting early, then don't bother with the notes. Start reading the brs physio book b/c it'll make more sense than most of the lecture notes and teachings and will help you more in the long run. the brs neuroanatomy is really great but waaay more than you'll need for the course, try and find the notes for that class, someone should have a copy you can download...
I read over pulmonary in the BRS during XMas break and thought it helped. In hindsight I would spend time going over some neuroanatomy and maybe get myself familiar with some of the tracts.
Some people just prefer to do something on break, I just always make sure that I fit my reading/prep around my vacation and not the other way around.
I finally have my long white coat, and it is stinky...
510 points Does anyone have the term 2 neuro notes in electronic form? I was hoping someone could skype that to me. I really want to check it out before school starts.
510 points If anyone has term 2 notes...please send them my way too!!
Forget the resting over summer. I did that prior to term 1 based on what others said and wished I gone over embryo (easy to do and would of save time for real Anatomy). Could of gone over biochem too.
I am going to do some work this summer for sure. I can rest after residency.
521 points there is never rest. rest now while you can. if you think there is rest after 2nd yr, wrong...after med school? wrong.
i am learning to rest when i can, eat when i can (even when im not real hungry, bc i will never know when i will have time to eat), and leave when i can (bc if i stay late, then well...im staying late then)

Not to sound condescending but if you truly feel the need to read ahead for term 2 then heaven help you when you get to term 4. Seriously, just relax and enjoy what little free time you have left, otherwise you will burn yourself out during the term.
I am not going to burn myself out and heaven is not going to help me whenever. I do not do well with mental idleness and frankly, I would welcome the time to leisurely read over the next couple months. So, please, I think I can handle it.
If someone would please let us know if there are any notes out there that we can look over, we would appreciate it.
