Thread: Undergrad & Residency/Match?

Probably a stupid question, but just to be sure....

Does undergrad work affect your chances of matching into any given specialty/program? Anything in undergrad years at all that affects your competitiveness in the match?

I'm assuming gpa doesn't matter, but more or less wondering about dual degrees / honors programs / research / etc. Thanks.

from what i have heard undergrad does not come into the equation for residency, just like high school does not effect med school admissions.

Does where you went to undergrad play any minor role? Like if you went to Harvard or Stanford for undergrad it still appears on your resume/cv?
