the ortho surgery match was also a great match.

To be honest, any match in Canada is a great match. There are prob 10-50X the number of applicant for any one position for IMGs (depending on specialty). Imagine 22 IM positions for IMGs only. Surgery 10, Ortho and Radio Oncology 1 or 2.
