I quess the rep from CARMS that visited SGU knew what she was talking about when she said that it will continue to get easier to match in Canada. Congrats fellow Canucks!

Not necessarily true.....there are a few poeple I know that matched into prelim surgery but their names are on both PGY1 and PGY2 lists.

According to the "SGU Residency postings of 2009" there are 14 categorical surgery spots (I just figured that every "Surgery" spot that's a PGY-2 is a categorical spot). That's not that bad considering how few cat surgery spots there are. Still, I know very qualified applicants that did not match into cat surgery this year.
