    Bus drivers.. rude..

Whatsup.. with the bus drivers.. Most of them lately have been SHAMELESSLY rude.. The way they treat the students,, and specially parents... And the rudest bus driver award goes to the old rasta dude..

Seriosuly makes my blood boil everytime i see them acting like an ***.. The university spends so much time and money to buld a good rapport with the parents and then the bus drivers come and ruin every thing..

there are couple really good ones though..

my experience with them has been about 50/50 nice:rude. However I've found it isn't just students that the rude ones go after. I've seen them yell at the Grenadian undergraduate students and even staff (not faculty but hourly staff).

If you were a bus driver in a hole of a third world country, you'd probably be bitter and angry too. My suggestion...deal with it, move on and forget all about the place.

To be honest i don't think i would call Grenada a third world country, certainly not "a hole of a third world country". surely its not like U.K or U.S, but there are places far far worse than this. just go to eastern Europe, India, parts of China etc which truly define a third world country. I think the correct term for Grenada would be, or much rather should be, a second-world country

driving a bus in any developing country is a pretty good job, having no job is a lousy job

from what I've seen GND is definitely 2nd world. However I've only seen Grand Anse, True Blue and St. George's so there's a ton I haven't seen.

and I'd agree that driving a bus for SGU can't be a bad job considering the unemployment rate.

I worked in the service industry for almost 10 years and that's a job that will leave you bitter and jaded. I think driving a bus anywhere might have the same sort of effect.

Hey, the bus drivers here are so chilled - listening to music or cricket commentary, is that a man or a woman dj'ing on the radio around 1-3? I mean, yeah they may knock a few cars, cows om the road side etc but they do a fine job, especially reversing into the upper bus stop, nearly got run over once though. But, I hate where we have to show ID when we return to SGU, especially with tons of bags ur trying to control.
