Thanks for the hopeful thoughts!

How likely is it to get in without having to retake the MCAT or do post bac. work to boost those scores? That is one thing my advisor suggested, but I really do not want to waste more time.

Until then...I'll keep praying!

Talking Should I be concerned ?

So, I interviewed on July 6th, and haven't heard back in terms of a decision yet. I applied for January 09' and think the interview went really well. I remember reading on this forum that people were hearing back after about two weeks that they got accepted....maybe I'm a tad neurotic, but it's been over two weeks ! I imagine it's too early to pester them..... ?

My stats are: 3.6 Post-bacc GPA
3.79 MA GPA (Film School)
3.2 Undergrad GPA

MCAT - pooh poohty at a 24, I took it before I was even done with O-chem and Physics - the details of why would only bore you. So, I imagine this could be reason enough for rejection.

Should I start apps. to other schools ? Like AUC and Ross ?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. also, am wondering if the delay in a decision may be because they are busy finalizing the August class ??

They're probably busy with last minute Aug admissions at the moment. Once the term begins, they'll start focusing on Jan classes. Your grad GPA is good, and your MCAT is average, so you have a decent chance of getting in for Jan. If you don't hear by the end of August, start applying to other schools.

Chances...

Hey everyone new to the forum...

I am looking to apply for either Fall '09 or Spring '10, I know it seems a long ways away but I was wondering what you think my chances are.

Graduated with a ** in Medical Lab Science.
uGPA: 3.05
sGPA: 2.97
MCAT: Coming Soon.

I have worked in the medical industry in a variety of fashions, consultant, R&D, and now as Medical Technologist at a top 5 hospital in the country. Great LOR's and EC's from college and professional. Lots of Volunteer work and shadowing.

Was thinking of taking some graduate level science courses to show adcom I am ready for medical school...good idea, worth it or no?

Let me know what you guys thing.

Thanks

GPA is low.. try to score 30+ on the MCAT, and you have a decent shot.

I think your GPA and MCAT is way to high for mcdonalds.

Maybe you should apply the cafeteria in the Ivy League ?

By the way, I think you should apply "The big 4" and give a shot to all of them.(Ross, AUC, SGU, Saba)
