hii everyone
so i'm from canada

my gpa is around a 3.6
i recently got a 31M on the mcat (the M is what's preventing me from getting into any med school here in canada)
i'm researching at the hospital right now- might be published
been volunteering at the hospital and blood clinic for 2 years
leadership role in many different school clubs

what are my chances?

also
the 31M was on my second shot at the mcat, how will this effect me, does sgu take the best score, or do they consider all ur scores. Also, does taking it more than once hurt me at all?

thanks

Are you positive that the M is what's keeping you back? Did admissions counselors tell you this? I've seen many Canadians with very good stats (>3.8 gpa and >32 MCAT) that didn't get in. As far as SGU, I'd say you're good as gold.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your score the first time you took it?

And I don't think the M was responsible for you not getting in. They obviously saw that you'd made a Q earlier, so it's clear you don't have any problem with English or writing. In any case, there isn't much emphasis on the writing score. Nothing a 31 wouldn't overcome.

so here we go again...I inquired earlier but now I have a step score. I went to MUA with a 3.99 GPA, Rank 1, Won basics science award, and took the step got over 92 % ( over the mean of 222). What are my chances at transfering into clinicals?
