Havent taken the mcat yet but will in sept.
If i take the mcat in sept the results will be mailed in oct... do you think this is too late to apply for jan 09??

Also i have taken all the pre reqs except for organic chem lab which is only 2 credit hours.. is that going to be a problem?

how are my chances? i really only want to go to sgu and no other caribbean school.
thank you
Your stats are a little low for the regular class and the lack of O chem lab might pose a problem. Best to call the Bayshore office and talk an admissions counselor for advice.

Foundations of Medicine. It gives you a taste of the medical classes and I believe tests to see if a person can handle the rigors of medical school. I've recently graduated and this program was not in effect while I was on the island, maybe some other current students can elaborate.

Hey

My GPA was around a 2.9 from Miami University (Ohio)
I got a 31Q on my MCAT with 10 Verbal, 11 Physical, and 10 Bio
I am applying for August 2008 but sent my application in very late (beginning of June) and am waiting to hear about an interview. What do you all think? Thanks.

I think you can safely say that August 2008 is not a possibility, since we're already in July and there's been talk of a waitlist on this forum. Secondly, your GPA is on the low side even and even though you're MCAT is high, I think you might be an FOM candidate. This is my opinion and if you want a better answer, call the Bayshore office.

Did you apply for GSP or Grenada? If GSP, then maybe, but it seems really late at this point if you haven't even interviewed yet.

I'm applying to Grenada. Apparently my application was missing a letter of recommendation and was therefore incomplete, and I finally heard back from an advisor last week telling me that my application was going to be forwarded to the admissions committee even though it was incomplete. I then had the professor re-send the letter of rec last Wednesday I believe. So basically my application sat there for a month with nobody looking at it, and I had no idea until they emailed me.
