When I dug up this thread previously, it was to support the notion of a sticky. While "what are my chances" doesn't mean much in terms of getting in, it is good hear people's opinion and encouragement after tons of rejections from US schools that drives most people here.
btw FBIdoc, I believe MCAT is required for St. Georges. So other than that your application is stellar. |

Another neurotic seeking some reassurance...
- 3.0 GPA (early college career mess-up) - 3.1 sGPA - 33R MCAT - Decent, if not solid ECs. I've already received an interview invite, but no date has been set. I've been hearing stories about how long it can take to set up an interview so it may be late March or April before the Committee sees my total package. Am I still competitive for Fall '08 that late? And how closely do interviews correspond to acceptances? Thanks in advance... |

I preferred AngryBaby's optimism, at least I'm assuming it's optimism. Is Flynn in? Cause if so, then it's reassuring. Thanks for bringing me down, Cavaletti!
No, but seriously, does anyone know how make-or-break the interviews are? I'd love the opportunity to explain my academic history but, from what I've been reading on SDN and VMD from interview feedback, it sounds like most of the interview questions are fluff. Do they really weed that many people out with questions like "How will you adjust to island life." Or am I just reading too much into people describing these interviews as casual and laid back? |
