Like argazul said, mcat is below average, your best bet is to apply really early.

All the best.

Doing better on the MCAT will most likely help your app a lot.

Wes, your stats are pretty competitive. MCAT within the range. A little low on the sGPA, but great total GPA and your ECs are great. Good luck.

PreMed and Wes - you guys have decent shots at admission, but apply very early. Dimab, the MCAT's a little low, so it would be nice to improve it somewhat. Nevertheless, you can give it a shot by applying early - you may even be accepted into the FTM program.

What are my chances? Age Requirements?

Hello there people,

This is my first time posting. I am super excited this year because i have decided to apply to medical school after finding out what i really wanted to do with my life. I am Canadian but with family roots in U.S.

My GPA is 3.914
my science GPA ia higher.
My MCAT is 24M
I have a Masters in Biochem
Research. with 2 publications (maybe a 3rd on the way)
lots of extracurricular activities in hospital, working with cancer patients , homeless shelters, teaching etc >3 years

The only problem is i am 29 and will be 30 this year and I would like to do either family medicine or oncology.

Can someone please tell me what is the average age of your classmates at Ross and if age is a factor in acceptance?
Thanks fellow meds and pre-meds.
