I think your qualitites...are wonderful
"50+ hospital volunteer hours US Marine Corps Officer Candidate (Quit due to a concussion and reoccurring knee problems) VP of my fraternity Treasurer of our Associated Students for Microbiology Chapter Member of Model UN and some other local clubs" hopefully the school will take into account these achievements. gpa isn't everything, that's just my opinion. people answer you and focus on your gpa which may be a huge factor and may not. you never know. i think gpa is crap...everyone lists their gpa's but not which schools they went to...i have a very low gpa undergrad and tried to boost it up post-bacc. i went to the top state school in NY and feel that i am not only competing with people from fist tier schools, but also from second and third who have much better GPAs than I do. I just don't think it's fair, I guess that's life. I wish I had gone to an easier school and got a 4.0. Moral of the story is try not to dwell on your low gpa, you have awesome credentials, don't worry about what everyone tells you on this forum regarding your low gpa, just get your recs together, APPLY and wait and see what pans out. Good Luck! |
