    How Slow is SGU Email??

SGU email is ridiculously slow! I have DSL and tried it on IE7, Firefox 2 and on a different computer with IE6 with no firewall or virus protection and it takes like 5 minutes just for the page showing messages to open up! Are they going to mail class messages and such to us using this email bc ill have to schedule a half hour every day for retrieving mail! OR is is faster in grenada? This mailbox is also pretty small!

he; when i was there there was no uni email. i used to hook up to grentel (now C&W) just long enough for AOL to up and download mail and read and write offline. Was really expensive, but not everyone was using email in those days.

    Forward your e-mail

I get all of my SGU e-mail forwarded to Gmail. I also have Gmail set up to make it look like I'm sending e-mail from my SGU account. I don't have any problems with it being slow or limited in space. Additionally, I get all the other cool features that Gmail has (search, labels, etc.) and it's all in one place.

SGU email has always been slow... It is also not very reliable. When I first came down to Grenada I wouldn't get messages sometimes and that is why I never give it out to people anymore.

thats awesome! I didnt even know I could do that with gmail. I'm going to try it out. And yeah, it was ALOT slower today than the last time I was on so maybe it's just a fluke.
