ed-invest, or your bank might lend you money or other private lenders (the money tree). You can see if you relatives will lend you the money.

6118 points FAFSA + GradPlus for me.
I love my family, but the only way they're coming up with 250 grand is going to either involve some lucky lottery picks or Regis.

i was thinking the same. i made a little excel sheet for 1st and 2nd semester cost (total 65,827)--which will include tuition, dorm, board, books, supplies, travel, personal expense, and health insurance.
Damn! that's a lot!! I can only get 18500 per year from fafsa, 16000 from parents/me, and the rest (31,000)--i have no clue. I read up about grad plus--they would cover it...but wow.
At times like this I am strongly consider AUC! SGU is too expensive. Esp 2nd year.
512 points how much did you expect to pay? all medical schools are expensive! just go to usnews and look at the tuition of u.s. medical schools. Some of them are more expensive. if you go to auc, how much would you save? $5000 per year? that's not that much when you think about it. Think about it this way: An average workspan of a physician is 25-30 years at minimum 140-160k per year. I will never understand people that complain about med, law, pharmacy, dental school tuition prices. I can understand if people were complaining about an undergraduate tuition price but not a professional school tuition price.
521 points if you attend out of state med school, the expenses and tuition is on par with sgu's. it will only be cheaper in the states if you manage to get in a in-state med school.
