What did that feel like for you guys down there? My stuff was rattling and I felt the building sway all the way up here in St. Maarten. Hope everyone is o.k.

510 points I feel the earth... move... under my feet.
510 points Kinda sucked because I was sleeping and I woke up from my bed literally rocking back and forth like someone was doing it. But I was home alone so I got up thinking maybe its in my sleep. I stood up and the floor shook even more. I just stood under the door thinking could it be the construction outside ( I live off campus )...I decided to run outside to my balcony and the cleaning lady was in the next apartment doing her thing cleaning away. And the construction never stopped. So I concluded that I am going crazy lol But later found out that I am not going crazy and on top of that I hear the same story that no one stops doing anything here. They continue working as if nothing is happening. I thought it was def moderate. Not strong but not light at all. That website by the USGS is a very imformative website.

I was on the bus when I felt it. I just thought it was some guy rocking the bus (you know, like when a 'large' person gets on). Didn't even realize it was a 'quake till somebody told me.
But naw, quakes aren't really a big deal here.
