Hey guys, First of all, congrats to those who've been accepted!
I had a question concerning time-line and this thing I'm reading about full class sizes. (I applied for the August 2008 class.) I got an e-mail a little while back offering me an interview, they said they'd contact me again informing me who my interviewer was and how to contact him and they did so on 5/1. I wrote to him immediately and received a response four days later to which I replied immediately again with specifics on my schedule (which is basically kind of free since my classes ended last Friday.) I've yet to receive a response from him and am not sure how I should proceed. I figured getting an interview was a solid step forward but reading about the August class supposedly being full is making me a little worried. Is my interview for naught? Your help is appreciated! |

congrats on the interview. You'll likely be interviewed and, if accepted, given the option of GND waitlist, or a spot in GSP (do a search if you don't know about it). If you're placed on "priority waitlist" then, apparently, you're automatically accepted into the Jan class if you don't get off the Aug waitlist. However some people are accepted straight into the "full" class so I wouldn't say you're out of luck just yet.
Regarding getting back to the interviewer, there's really no set protocol. My opinion is that since it took 4 days the first time and we've just had a weekend to give the doc another day or two and then, if you still haven't heard, sending a polite email asking for a reply and I'd include something about being afraid the reply was sent into the spam folder and deleted. Just my .02 Best of luck.

SGU Grenada Aug '08 class is already full....I interviewed earlier and found out that i'm on a priority waitlist for GND and got into GSP (even though I did not apply). I would actually prefer to do GSP after reading up on it, but i've heard there are licensing issues regarding Cali and NJ so i'm hesitant.
I also don't want to join the Jan '09 class b/c i've heard there are timing issues with classes and USMLE or something. Either way, i'm not sure what to do, maybe I'll just stick on the waitlist and apply to SGU for Aug '09. Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise because my GPA is 3.75+ and my MCAT is 30+, maybe some US schools will take a chance on me. |

but with those stats, i'm surprised you didn't get into some US school (are you Cali, Tx, or Canadian?).
