I interviewed March 31st and am still waiting to hear back Candlelight. I know a couple people who interviewed more recently who've heard back from SGU, but at least one or two of them had their decisions expedited (due to pending acceptances to other schools). I also heard that the admissions committee meets at the beginning of the month, but then I read about people getting accepted during the middle of the month, so I don't know what the story is.

I interviewed on April 8th and got my acceptance call on April 25th. Application was complete at the end of February. I was called because I told my counselor i was going to start at Ross in May (i had my tickets booked also, not for SGU but because i thought i wouldn't hear from them.) They wanted to interview me for both FOM and regular MD (I said no to FOM cuz i was already in Ross). After interview they wanted me to consider GSP (again i politely refused) so finally i was informed of regular MD. For me it was either the grenada MD or the Ross MD program. Anything else SGU would have offered I would have refused, even if it meant going to Ross. But I am thankful that I was accepted to the regular program.

Just applied, 2.9 undergrad, 3.7 grad (MPH degree), 22O, 25N, waiting on my April 5th scores (which I actually studied for!), tons of ECs and Research, did a lot of clinical work, and should have two publications in a few months. Waiting for my transcripts and stuff to get to NY and waiting for an interview. Hopefully they get the Cali licensing stuff taken care of, because I really want to do the UK program if I get in!

Hello all...I just got an email granting me an interview for SOM in August...How long does it usually takes to get the interview scheduled? I'm gonna do a lot of research on this interview and find out exactly what they ask (I heard about a lot of those Grenada history questions). Anyway, assuming I have a good interview, what do you guys think the chances of getting in are with these #s...

3.21 GPA 32 MCAT

I have an interview with Ross in a few weeks but I really don't want to go there. I'd MUCH rather go to SGU...

grenada history??? i dunno about that haha... I think you have a pretty decent chance with that mcat but the gpa is a bit on the low side (if you have a good trend and good science gpa that'll help you out of course) good luck! and if you get into ross, make sure to send the acceptance, it really does speed things up

As you probably already know, your mcat is great and above average for SGU. It should balance your lower than average (for SGU) gpa. Medical Sciences Student Statisitcs - School of Medicine - St. George’s University

No one knows for sure but my guess is that you get an acceptance very quickly to start in AUG.

All the best.

Can anyone tell what is meant by "Official Degree Bearing Transcript"? Is it just a transcript that shows my degree? I have to send this to SGU.

Basically, its just the official transcript from your school. If you have already graduated it will state which degree you have been awarded, if not it will show your major or intended degree.
