My bad, been busy with finals, haven't checked this site in a while. My stats are 3.4 GPA and 27O MCAT score. I only took the test once, and don't feel like taking it again. Want to enjoy my summer and winter breaks before I being my career in medical school.

Regarding the interview, the only question I remember is the one I chose: Who is the most influential person in your life?

This is probably the easiest question to answer because you can choose anyone that's close to you and talk about one hardship they went through. If you can't think of one, make it up, not that I endorse that kind of behavior.

I had my interview last thursday - was rather short but seemed to go well...

I faxed my AUC letter of acceptance with an Dec. 26th deposit due date to my SGU admissions advisor... she told me she would do everything possible to get me a final decision before that date... my interviewer recommendation was given to the board for review on friday so we'll see what happens this week


I'm trying not to sweat it that much as I might still go to AUC with the SGU acceptance - the age ol' question between the two

whatupdoc - I would go ahead and send the new transcript asap... couldn't hurt

ask your admissions advisor how they want them sent, they might even take a faxed/scanned copy of an unofficial transcript directly to the office if getting the official school copy would take a while... I don't know about you guys but my admissions advisor at SGU has been awesome - very very quick with responses to my emails and very supportive/informative

COMPLETE contrast to AUC - I rarely heard from them before the call at 630am that i was accepted....

maybe i can make up a US MD acceptance form to hurry them up. What you think about that? Shows my dedication to SGU right?

Hi, new to ValueMD. I interviewed for aug 08 on nov 7, have yet to hear. I was wondering if my chances are good (cGPA:3.01, sGPA:3.04, MCAT: 27O)?

Are you guys reporting AMCAS GPA or self-calculated?

Personally for me my AMCAS was lower due to courses taken over, which UCSD allows 4 of, but I know AMCAS calculates all grades on transcript in....

I used non-AMCAS on SGU app , but just curious what you guys are reporting on these forums....

Yeah I think you'd be ok to apply for those schools then. I remember seeing people here that started their application for SGU during the summer and got in, I might be completely off about that though- I'm also assuming that the better your stats the later you can apply
