were you in NYC for your interview?? I just followed up with the interivew coordinator so apparently my interviewer either misspoke, or i misunderstood. the board is not back in session for two weeks, so she said to expect to hear something in 3-5 weeks. but follow up definitely at 5 with your admissions counslor.
i was so excited i may be hearing something this week! i knew it was too good to be true

Hey! I just found out that I got in, and I'm most likely going to go! I interviewed late November so it was quite the wait haha. Good luck to everyone else!

confusion

I got an email from my admissions counselor saying that I had been granted an interview back in February and then I received a letter from the Dean of Enrolment Planning on Saturday with the usual..."Thank you for applying, we regret to inform you...blah,blah, blah."

Is this normal? I was just curious. There was also a recommendation to complete a Master's in the biomedical sciences and to re-apply to SGU where they "welcome the opportunity to review my application....". At that point, wouldn't I be better off just re-applying here in the states?

Thanks.

If you haven't had your interview yet, then yes that is abnormal. I would suggest that you take this time to work your butt off, maybe retake the mcat if you are not happy with the score, reapply in the U.S., and reapply for SGU.

No interview before the letter. It's just weird. I thought it was unusual, so I'm trying to get in touch with my admissions counselor.

wow

I just got an email from the admissions counselor saying:

"My apologies, the original e-mail sent to you was incorrect. Below is the e-mail that should have been sent to you on February 12.

**************************
Thank you for your application and interest in St. George's University.
Although the following items are outstanding, your file has been presented to the Committee on Admission for consideration of an Interview.
"

Wow, that's kind of a big oops if you ask me........

Guess I'll wait this out and see if I get off of the waitlist in the states before I decide what to do.

Thanks all. Back to lurking.

wow, yeah I think I would have been crushed if that happened to me. Lately there seems to be a lot of mess-ups by SGU. Hopefully they will get everything sorted out before August.

Apparently a 31R doesn't get you into SGU.
Just rejected.
