It must be so great when places that you didn't get an interview while applying to med school are now inviting you for residency interviews! Can't wait for that....

My wife is currently teaching medical students at a med school that rejected her application.

Yeah, me too. It's kind of weird because I would have NEVER gained admission here...NEVER. And yet I am educating their medical students on a regular basis. Ah, the joy.

I think for all of us that were rejected by US schools and are SGU students now, we thank you all for blazing the trail. It really provides hope for our future - that we can accomplish similar goals as you all have shown. I think the exposure of PDs to SGU grads have opened doors that most definitely would have remained closed.

So, keep the interview stories coming!

Congrats to all interviewees. I applied in mid-September and have 6 lined up. For anyone interested in Kentucky, Louisville and UK will put you up in a nice hotel for a night.

Anyone else have some good advice for interviews in general?

I know all the UCs want it by 12/1/07...I know, impossible unless you sit out a year.

I'm sure all our affiliates (San Joaquin, Kern, Alameda) will take you as long as you have it before your start date.
