random question since I don't know much about the match...do US students find out during their match day "ceremonies" where they will be going or do all students who went through the match not find out where they will be until Thursday??

you only find out whether if you are matched somewhere or not on Monday whether you are US or foreign , and you find out exactly where on thursday, whether you are US or foreign as everyone uses the same agency to apply for residency

congrats everyone on matching. Hopefully you will be even happier when you know where you are moving to in a couple of day.

Hey guys,

I didn't match.

Went through the scramble yesterday and got a prelim surgery spot in Phoenix. The scramble was a horrible experience... Oh well, at least I know where I'm going.

In case you were curious... I was applying for Surgery with step 1: 212/86, step 2: 237/98, step 2 cs pass. Passed all tests at first attempts. Had 12 Interviews and did not match. I'm an statistical failure...hahahaha.

Seagoddess - I'm so sorry you didn't match! Unfortunately it seems like the match process isn't always fair and good people don't get spots. But on the very bright side, you managed to scramble into a spot which is a daunting task itself and you deserve cudos for that. It's time to put the match behind you and look forward to knocking their socks off in Phoenix! Congratulations and best of luck.

Yes way to go on the spot in Phoenix, Seagoddess. You've got a job, income, and the opportunity to show 'em what you can do. Scramble or not, many FMGs don't get, or have the guts, to go for what you got. Good job!

Anyone know anyone who matched or pre-matched or scrambled into Anesthesia? I am very interested to find where they match what scores they had and all that stuff. Please private message me if you know anyone.

thank you.
