So here are peds info! My husband just applied to peds at a mix of community and university. He uploaded around October 8th and he got interviews I would say within three days when all the paperwork was uploaded. FYI his step 2 score is still not in so we have been told that when that comes in he will get a lot more interviews. That is what happened with our friend. So far he has 12 interviews all over.

There were a whole bunch of good programs that said they were waiting for STep 2. he already has one pre-match But is probobly going to wait to see what else he can get ezpecially after his step 2 comes out. Our experience has been that you have to upload ASAP. My husband would call the second he got an invite practically and most dates were full. It took a lot of juggling. In addition, he was told by more than on program that he should interview early in the season as they could offer a pre-match. SO if there is a place that you are very interested in and you know they do pre-match then interview there early.

Its definitely been slower since the MSPE went out! I just heard from some of the NY/NJ schools but all the other places are silent...but I have heard that you can get ivs up through January so there is still plenty of time.

i'm waiting to hear from 20+ more programs. it's not looking too good right now (not terribly heartbroken over this as I don't have much more time to interview). i heard from another applicant during one of my interviews that it's common practice for programs to simply not give you any form of correspondence as to whether or not you are rejected or invited, thus leaving you assuming that they're just not interested. i was wondering what other people's thoughts were on this...

I hope that's not the case. This would be a complete lack of professional courtesy IMO.

That being said, you should have a clue as to where you stand as a candidate at this point. I'm going to e-mail a few of the programs this weekend who haven't responded and give them a week to reply, at which point I'll give them a call.
