Transfering money from USA - RBTT bank

Hello - have a new question...

I opened up a bank account with RBTT bank recently and now am trying to transfer money from the account I have back in US (Chase) to the RBTT bank.

I am trying to use wire transfer method.

Now, when I asked them how to do it... here is the note they gave me (as exactly written on the paper they handed me):
    ---------------------------------------------------
    Your Bank via:
    THE BANK OF NEW YORK
    48 WALL STREET
    NEW YORK, U.S.A.

    ABA# 021-000-018
    SWIFT ADDRESS: IRVTUS3N

    For Credit to:
    RBTT BANK GRENADA, LTD
    HALIFAX STREET, ST. GEORGE'S
    GRENADA
    A/C # 803-3394137
    SWIFT ADDRESS: RBTTGDGD

    FOR FURTHER CREDIT TO:
    YOUR Account Number: xxxxxx2
    YOUR NAME:
    YOUR Address in GRENADA:
    --------

Can anyone clear this for me? I thought the way you transfer your money is... walk into to the teller of your bank and tell her the name of one bank you are trying to send the money to along with the receiver's account number, name of the receiver, and bank ROUTING number.

I already tried to have my family wire me money by giving them this info on paper and they gave the paper to the bank... but the bank didn't know what to do with it....

that's weird because you have the info need to transfer money- basically the Bank of NY is the bank that RBTT deals with in the US for tranfer of international funds- basically your bank it transferring to the bank of NY and then the Bank of NY transfers to RBTT the ABA and Swift # are basically the routing numbers used for transfers.

maybe your family person needs to talk to a manager that deals with international transfers- the tellers sitting up there aren't that well versed about that kind of stuff.

Yeah, I concur with Rokshana's recommendation that your fam speaks to a mgr there.

Something odd for me though is that when I was in the states and wired money to an RBTT account over the summer I didn't have to concern myself with the Bank of NY, I simply handed the teller the info for RBTT specifically and it went through w/out a hitch.

that could be- i actually sent money BACK to the states so RBTT had to use the bank of NY.

The fees depend on your bank.
