Thread: fruit market

I have heard there are fruit/vegetable vendors on campus on Wednesdays, but I looked today and no one was around. Anyone know anything about this? Or fruit in general? Seems like the store really only has apples and bananas. Most fruit is rotten too.

There's a guy at the bus-stop early afternoon today (Wed) selling guavas, watermelons, avocados, papayas, and a couple other types. He's right next to that Indian lady who sells sandwiches. He was gone by 4PM though.

yeah they come from noon to 4pm, there's an egg man that comes on tuesdays from noon to 1pm and sells eggs really cheap. I don't know how expansive that veggie guy is but i wanted tomatoes and he didn't have any.

I thought veg guys prices on most things were pretty good, and usually quite a bit cheaper than IGA. He doesn't always have the best selection, but what he does or doesn't have, I find about on par with Spiceland at the times where they're out of arbitrary things like onions.

His plantains tend to be better though. I got most of my produce from him first term.
