    Xbox/TVs/Monitors/Etc

Did anyone take their Xbox 360 and a 23 inch LCD HDTV before?
Ahhhh man... I dont want to leave my XBox in the states!

Not that I'm a big gamer I just hate for the darn thing to go to waste...
And is a monitor necessary/recommended for your laptop?

    Last question...
It seems like I got everything packed within the baggage weight limit..
Am I missing anything because everyone talks about shipping extra stuff and I cannot possibily see why you would need to ship like 300lbs...

Im a huge gamer (will not hold true anymore after the first weeks in med), and I brought my 360, psp, DS, and had a wii last term. I also shipped a monitor, for the 360 that is.
I know a couple of people that have their 360s here.

I didnt need a monitor for my laptop, but i guess that if you feel like you need one then, go ahead.

I say don't bring that stuff with you, they'll get stolen or destroyed(due to humidity) in storage. You're really not going to have that much time to play video games, and during your free time you want to do other things like sleep, go out and party, or go to the beach. But then again i am not a gamer, i have some games on my computer, i think if you get a nintendo, playstation and sega emulators for your computer you should be set. also i don't know anyone that brought an extra monitor for their laptop. I think it's a waste of luggage space to bring that stuff and electronics get easily damaged during the trip down or during storage between breaks.

this is just my opinion. the best thing to do is come down for a term without the 360 and then if you have free time bring it down next term.

the 300lbs is probably all for stuff that one would buy in Grenada/UK had he or she not brought it over... eg: food, toiletries.

I brought my XBox. It helps to pass the time, anyone who says you'll never have a minute to play is not rationing time well. Everyone needs to blow off steam now and then, and if your outlet is video games, then you should have them available.

Customs never charged me for it, but for some reason the airport security always freaked out when they saw the big black box with an X on top and full of wires going through the scanner. Expect to get searched every time when you travel with it.

you will definitely not have a lot of time(if any) to use it, but damn, this place can get extremely boring sometimes. A psp or Ds works also, since they are more portable ect. I have emulators on my computer also, and they are really cool. I bought a usb controller on ebay for .50c and works great!.
Airport security sure does freak out when they look at my bags,

only bring the 360 or xbox if you dont have to compromise with other stuff(like russianjoo suggested); if to much of a hassle bring it next term.
