for the students starting this fall in grenada, when does term 3 begins? according to the SGU website, it starts in june 30th and ends in aug. 11th. however, according to the calendar of the registration requirements website, terms starts in may 19th and ends in june 27th. can anyone verify this? either way, we are not getting more than six weeks of summer vacation which is too long to sit around all day and too short to get a summer job or internship? i don't see the point of 4 weeks long winter break.

also, do you guys know the link to this website on SGU made by two sgu students. they talk about all their personal experiences in grenada. i totally forgot the link, but i remember it was pretty helpful.

i think the change is because they are accomodating the gsp class's shift to gnd- they finish 2nd the same time as those on the island, so to start 3rd term the weekend after was a bit much for them (the other schedule is what it has traditionally been for aug term).

the point of the winter break? its christmas and new years- and lol you haven't been down there yet- don't get me wrong- i'll liked grenada, but trust me there IS a reason for the breaks!

I was a little confused about that too, cuz I just got an Academic Calendar in the mail that says term 2 ends on May 16th, term 3 starts on June 30th and then ends August 11th. Yet the website says different.

I'm hoping this doesn't somehow mean they can't do Prague selective this year...

well it was what i was going for!

but it is unfortunate- i personally didn't do the prague selective, but have friends who did and they loved it! As jan term you get 2 opportunities to go since summer 1 you are inbetween terms 1 and 2 and summer 2 you are between terms 4 and 5, but as aug term the 2nd summer is the summer between 2nd and 3rd year and you have to study for the Step.

The academic calendar I got in the mail a few days ago indeed confirms that our summer break will be between Terms 2 and 3 and not Terms 3 and 4 (as was the case before).

is this final? why have they not made an announcement or changed the information on the website?
