mua premed vs sgu premed

Hello everyone.

MUA-premed vs SGU premed

if i go for MUA premed; start in sept 07,8 months long; can start basic science in May08 if all goes well....

SGU premed; gonna have to start in Jan 08; as premed yr 2 so have to do it for 2 years...(mainly because I don't have organic chem)

what do you all think?

I thought about doing premed in US but because i am an international student(Korean) costwise and timewise ... i have decided to do it in the caribbean

also california doesn't really matter to me...

or is there really fast tracked organic chemistry course somewhere? so that i can be considered for premed 3 instead of 2?

thanks all/..

If you're already resigned to definitely going to a Caribbean school then SGU is the way to go.

Unless you have some sort of pressing time issue two years is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Like the previous poster said...two years is nothing in the grand scheme of things, especially when you consider that medicine is what you intend on doing for the rest of your life.

Why sell yourself short? You've mentioned that Cali isn't important, but what about the states that use California licensure guidelines as the basis for their own?

Do yourself a favor and try for one of the schools which are 50-state approved (Ross, AUC, SGU, Saba) and maximize your opportunity to practice your dream.

Good luck.

What's the rush? I realize Canadian winters must suck but you can handle one more. Just take the orgo in Canada and submit your application for the August '08 semester. Those that start in January of '08 will graduate on the exact same day as those that start in August of '08 anyway.
