I received a call from my counselor the first week of May. She told me that she was about to submit my application to the board for review. She also told me that the August 2007 class was full. I was asked if I wanted to apply for the GSP. I told her no, and requested that my application be submitted for the January, 2008 term.

At that time, she told me that I may receive a response in 6-8 weeks. Its been about 6 weeks now and but I'm getting a bit anxious. I know that some of you applied for August 2007 and was offered a seat in the Januray 2008 class. Has anyone applied to the Jan 2008 term and heard back from SGU yet?

you can always call the school to find out what's going on with your application.. but if they said 6-8wks they'll let you know in 8weeks you still got 2 weeks so i wouldn't worry too much.

I applied late January, and I got my acceptance for Jan 08 a few weeks ago. they took a long time to process my file because I needed to send them my final transcript

chances are if you're interested in Jan08...you're low priority to them right now. They're trying to fill the GSP program still (though I wish they wouldn't so that the class size would stay small :P)

Yeah, exactly...when I was applying for August 2007 in October 2006, I was a lower priority than people who were (late) applying for January 2007 (I'm not guessing either, it's what I was told by SGU).

I would call SGU once a week or once every two weeks to check your status, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

hehe...keep wishing Neph! Yeah...a part of me thinks the same thing. I really hope they're not 'pressuring' people into choosing GSP. I think its a great program and I'm glad to be going there but England might not be everyone's 'cup of tea'
