Thread: Those from Ontario - Did SGU Lose OSAP Approval?

This applies to those from Ontario...

OSAP (the government funded student loan program) started allowing applications for 2007-2008 today...

And I can't seem to find SGU listed. I did an institution search for 2006-2007 and its listed, but when I do the same search for 2007-2008 (the loan period I'm applying for) it doesn't show up.

Anyone know what's going on? I'll be calling them anyways but just thought I'd ask around

EDIT: Ok, apparently the approval process is ongoing. They don't necessarily finish the approval process PRIOR to opening up the applications...
So I guess Intl schools are still being added... WHEW...its not much but I'll take whatever they give me!

haha there's a 6 minutes time period from when you first posted that message to when you edited it. let's assume 2 minutes to type up the edit. that means there's probably 4 minutes more of timing you needed....

OSAP only gives 10K, right? I guess its still pretty good tho..

Haha....I think I'll relax once I figure out just how I'll be getting my hands on ~$250K US!!

And 10K is what I've heard too...I wonder if people from other provinces get more...

SGU is approved for OSAP loans for the 2007-2008 school year. Here's the link https://osap.gov.on.ca/CGI-BIN/LANSA...91104M+OSP+ENG

OSAP maxes out at under $6000 for SGU because its out of the country. You don't get the federal portion of the loan.

I have taken in twice for SGU and got 8000 and 7000.
