stafford loans
I had a couple questions about loans, my understanding is that at SGU you can take out 18,500/year for 5 years, then the rest is private loans. The max lifetime on Stafford is 138,000. But you can't reach this due to only 18,500/year allowed. Is this correct?
Also, why is it only 18500, thats the amount for US grad schools, and the US med school amount is about 38000/year with a max of 160,000, is SGU approved for the US grad school amount and not the med school amount because of it being a foriegn school? I would appreciate any comments. Thanks! |
