Prepare for the USMLE in 6 weeks.
The members of my class have just finished with Step 1 and the useful information is already being forgotten. In another week, I might not even remember what the third leading cause of death is for ten-year-olds in Detroit (if you can believe that). But before I forget everything, I have put this together for anyone else that wants to have some idea of how to plan their studying without shelling out thousands of dollars for a course. It's the best advice that I was given. You can read it online or download the Word.doc. Hope it helps, topher. the rumors were true ![]() |

I am pretty sure everyone studies for the boards, be it on their own or takes a prep course. No one wants to just pass.

Everyone learns differently and prefers different things. You know yourself and you structured this to work for you. Some of us just need a course that can put everything together. I personally benefited a whole lot from the Kaplan course but thats just me. So for those of you who have yet to take step 1, structure the prep to fit you. If you feel you can do it on your own, fine. If you feel you need a course, don't let money stop you. After all we owe so much already. What is $6000 more if it will get you where you want to be.

At this point, I'll take just a pass
