3 major reasons why you pick SGU
I asked SABA vs SGU and wanted to see pretty much major reasons why would one person choose SABA and another one SGU, but nothing good came out of that post, so now I will try to ask separately:
Could you please state 3 major reasons (or more) why you choose SGU and how do you like it (or like it so far)? Thanks in advance |

1. Reputation, history (one of the oldest, so I know they're not gonna pack up and leave one day like it happened at some other school...)
2. Good island/living conditions/campus/infrastructure (ties in with 1, I guess) 3. Accredited, with good residency placements and USMLE pass rate (also ties in with 1) |

1. Residency placements
2. Residency placements 3. Residency placements When I was interviewing and I got my first out of match offer, my cousin (who graduated from Ross near the top of her class) told me that I should definitely take it - that I would be a fool not to take a guaranteed position at a semi-decent program rather than take the risk of not matching. She insisted that no better situation could arise than me getting that one offer. She had a VERY different attitude about residency placement than we students of SGU have. And that's because we have a track record of getting very good residency placements. Why else would I pay such an enormous price? Last edited by dunsoon; 03-22-2007 at 02:00 PM. |
