i applied for the fall med class of 2003 and am yet to hear a response. do you guys know if this is necessarily a bad sign or am i just being ridiculous. does anyone know when i can expect to hear a decision by?

Same thing has happened to many that i know (including myself).... i guess you have been rejected in the first set of considerations. But they should reconsider you in may with all the other non-accepted applicants.....


I still haven't heard of anyone actually doing an interview and being rejected.

no, i dont think you understand. i did interview but i have not heard a reply at all yet. niether an acceptance nor a rejection. have all the acceptances been sent out already?

I am in the same situation as you. I interviewed a few weeks ago but have not heard anything either. However, I have not taken the MCAT therefore I'm not sure when the school will actually receive my scores to make a final decision. Best of luck to you and hope you hear back from SGU soon.

Hi! I'm waiting too, so I can sympathize...
When I asked how long it would take, they told me they review applications weekly, but don't always make final determinations so it's hard to say when you'll hear. I've been told by current students that the past couple classes have been pretty large (>300) and also that a chunk of the January class has decelerated so they could be taking up spots of the entering class. Maybe admissions is controlling for those factors? Just a guess...

I called them, and they told me that I should hear from them by the end of the month. I interviewed on March 20th. This having to wait is driving me crazy, it would be nice to know if I will be moving out of the country.

Fortunately I did get in, my overall GPA was a 3.5, science 3.4. and MCAT 27.
