Depressed from MCAT score HELP!!

Guys!!! I am so devastated, almost heartbroken...

Just recieved my MCAT Score...total shock, i know i panicked during the verbal section but I wasnt expecting this low!!!

Overall GPA: 3.3
Science GPA: 3.0
MCAT: 18P omg im gonna cry.....Im sooo DEPRESSED (5 in verbal...6 in bio...7 in physical...)AHHHH!!!

President of an CUltural organization
Lots of volunteer experience
tons of other extracurriculars
No research
Did programs as a Resident Assistant for my building

Is SGU even going to accept me?? Do i stand any chance with these stats? Someone please tell me there is a chance...

MCAT score

was that your score for the Aug MCAT? if so when was your score resleased?

JUST TOnight..scores were released for August 2006 last paper exam mcat....

Im such a horrible standardized test taker...i hate hate hate the mcats....

Do i even stand a chance with SGU,.....anyone?? =(

Harsh...but maybe true, the avg. MCAT score for 2005 enrollees was 26....it could be higher this year with the increase in application numbers....but the best thing to do would be to apply and find out.....also try retaking it.....you may do better......

That is a bad score. However, I personally know several people with your exact GPA, virtual lack of research, and mcats between between 19 and 21 that were accepted flat out. You should apply. also apply to auc

I got what you got....an 18...I'm waiting to hear from SGU ...
I got accepted to Ross's MERP program though.

Im majorly depressed as well. My new MCAT score is 23N. GPA is 3.3. I dont know what my chances are now. I asked the admission counslor and she keeps saying just wait and see what the board says! soo frustrating!

18 is a bit on the low side. you can apply and find out as others have said. but what i have seen is that you may get offered the premed, MPH, or others such route instead if straight into SOM.
