Ross vs. St. George?

Anyone know which school would have a better reputation in the US? What are some pros & cons comparing the two?

thanks!

Try searching for "sgu ross" in both school forums. That'll be a start. Obviously, if we all go to sgu, we can't really say it's better or worse than a school we don't go to. The same can be said about the people on the ROSS forum.

Other than that, talk to GRADS of both schools, look at the statistics and try to figure out the logistics of financial aid/clinical locations/island life...etc.

Good your luck with your choice.

do a search, this topic has been discussed to death in the past.

Forum admin should just make it a locked forum so people stop asking.

definitely sgu. i heard they are more supportive too. and their reputation is better than ross. and they have all acgme rotation sites, which means you don't have to juggle stuff around just to be eligible to practice in all 50 states.

ross is none of the above.
and i'm a ross student, regretably.

Zao,

If you know something that the rest of us don't please share, I'm willing to listen. There are a few issues with your comments I can't get my head around though.

Please explain what makes you believe SGU's rep is better? I don't see that as being something you can really quantify, or have a definitive answer for. Also, can you list which clinical sites affiliated with Ross are not greenbook? In terms of "support", can you specify what you mean by "support" exactly? It sounds like you're gauging SGU's level of "support" based on hearsay.

Thanks.

As far as repution goes ROSS is much better. We have recognitions in west and east coast and just a little bit in the midwest around chicago and so. SGU is mostly known only on the east coast. Plus the curriculum here is much better.
