I've read some posts that were written so poorly and where the english was so bad that I could hardly believe the person studied at a English medium school (perhaps they were written by international students studying in the caribbean intending to practice in the states). i really think caribbean medical schools should have some standard of english if they are to be taken seriously. If I went to a doctor who could hardly speak english and then i found out the doctor went to such and such school in the caribbean, I wouldn't think highly of that school.
only 19 posts and already a warning...
maybe the english is a little lax here, because its a little like text messaging.. shortcuts are used.
also, many write as if they were talking, not writing a composition
and BTW...why is the verbal section obviously not the best predictor? The verbal is a section that you really can't study to improve, unlike the physical and biological, so it tends to be the section that admission committees will look at (from personal experience, my bio and phy sections changed, but my verbal stayed the same the three, yes three!!, time i took that horrible exam)!!
