Hi,
I am a first year med student (starting August 2006), and I was wondering if there was a certain color scrub that the first year students wear?

10528 points you'll only need them for anatomy and so long as they don't have a pattern on them (the profs wear those), you'll be fine with any color.Originally Posted by leighwade1

Exactly what rokshana said... and most folks wear the typical light or dark blue scrubs.
510 points I knew someone who wore pink scrubs....
That's my 2 cents and I want some change back.
Was that someone your reflection in the mirror?Originally Posted by Flounder

don't get more than 2 pairs of scrubs, you only have lab once a week, and the washers and dryers are free so there is no need to buy a lot of scrubs.

Interesting rules you choose to make. Perhaps I'll wear pink scrubs in vinnies just for you.Originally Posted by Saora1

I don't think it's just me that makes those "rules". For right or wrong, most of society does. A light pink short is okay for a guy in my, and most peoples', opinion but I don't think pink scrubs, jeans, backpack or whatever else is the most manly colour and most will probably have the passing thought that you might be... Be my guest. You won't be putting me out. At most, I'll look at you a little funny for a second and then promptly forget about you. You can wear a thong [only] for all I care.Perhaps I'll wear pink scrubs in vinnies just for you.
Whatever works for you. Just don't act all offended at the "rules". I don't think I'm wrong.
