How do SGU students afford the tuition costs. At $17000+ per semester, the 3 semesters are going to set you back $52,000 per year. You must have rich parents or be excellent bank robbers. How do you do it?

Thumbs up This is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There should be a lot more threads like this one!!! There are just way too many threads filled with sarcasm and "waste of space" replies.

Keep up the good work and ....thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Some people have very rich parents. Others take out 100% from uncle sam and private loans. Still some do a combination of the 2.

Thanks bio_uci for putting this up. I remember meeting you and hope that you decided to come to SGU. A friend of mine told me that my letter was posted up here and I'm glad that people have found it helpful.

I'm replying now to let anyone interested know that I've written similar letters for all kinds of things in Grenada, and that they can all be found at the rumors were true

All the best, Chris "topher"

Hi Stephew. I am trying to find a good Gross Anatomy review book. You mentioned about the Anatomical Atlas. Can you tell me more about it? I was also looking into High-Yield Gross Anatomy. What do you think about that book?

just a suggestion: buy the Anatomy BRS!! it will help you, at least, it helped me. Also Rohen's Atlas. The High Yield for Anatomy may help you for some of the clinical scenarios.

Also, BRS for Biochem will definitely fill in the gaps when you don't have a lot of time to actually read the chapters in Lipincott's again.

Hmm, try to stay awake in class, pre-read the lecture notes and the Biochem chapters so you understand what is going on, plus fill in the blank spaces with your own reading notes and slide notes in the Anatomy Companion/Notebook. That will definitely help.

Okay, I know it's late, sorry if this post was just completely random. I didn't really read everything here...

What bio_uci posted to start this thread was the original 7-page "Welcome to Grenada" that was written after my first term. Thanks to the interest shown on ValuMD and the help I had from Jess Kramer, "Welcome to Grenada" has expanded to cover every term and book in the first two years at St. George's University. I'd like to thank everyone that had encouraging things to say early on because it was that support that made us finish it.

Cheers, topher.

p.s. the new "sticky" is "Welcome to Grenada, A Student's Guide for Students"
