Thread: SGU MCAT question

Hello,

I took the April MCAT and bombed it bad (20). I studied for it only 3 weeks. I wanted to retake it in August. I thought I was goignt o get at least a 24. I applied and sent everyhting including transcripts and recommendations for the January class and know I wont get in with a 20 and 3.65 GPA.

I plan on retaking in August and want them to use that score for admission. Will thye look at the 20 or can they wait to see August scores. By the time august scores come, it will be too late to apply for January class. Can I still get in for January? I cant call them and tell them to disregard April scores especially since I sent them already.

Not sure if you're late for Jan admission. But you can call them and ask them any questions. Take the August MCAT anyway. 20 is a bit too low. I don't think you have to resubmit your application if your case is pending for whatever reason...

a 25 is ok for SGU. They look at the whole picture and exam all the scores on an individual bases.

apply and tell them that you will be re-taking the mcat in august. it should be fine. the sgu ad com has many time asked the applicants to retake their mcat before
