Thread: New York City (6-21) After-Orientation Fesitivities

For those of you planning on attending the New York City Orientation for Incoming Freshman to SGU (August 2006):

A bunch of us tri-state area folk are planning on going out to a bar after the orientation since we're all gonna be in the city anyways that day. I thought I would extend this invite out to all those who will be attending this function and would like to come out, have a drink (they do serve soda at bars for those that don't drink alcohol) and meet some future classmates. Should be a fun time. I personally took the day off from work the next day and so should you. Let's go out, have a good time, and get ready to work our ***** off.

Cool idea. How do we all plan on knowing who is who though at the orientation? Shall we all wear tie-dy shirts (sorry - don't know how to spell tie-dy)? Well realistically, I suppose we will have some time to chat prior to orientation and we can just ask "Are you a ValueMDer..?and if they look at us like we're freakin' nuts then we can move on to the next future classmate.

Another idea - we all know what GForce007 looks like since there's a HUGE mugshot of his face posted on his picture album. We should all gravitate to him. By the way, those are some nice pics of Grenada and SGU GForce. Thanks.

HA HA too funny. Yes, I will be the nucleus, please all of you electrons find you way to my inner shells so we may dance on s p d orbital motions and make fools of ourselves. I can see it now pictures of my mug shot in vmders pockets then crumbled up on the floor to by the end when people can step on me

I have been to the Jan 06 one and if this one is anything like that its gonna be blah accept for meeting you people. Lets see um ok I will be the one wearing a white nike hat (nike symbol, like tiger woods) so I hope that helps.

Though since my trip I have drop 10 lbs ...Since my accident I havenet been able to be active which has been hell for me since I have always been health/workout consious.

Just started back and I feel a lot better but i have this TMJ problem as of late but a specialist is trying to patch me up before school. I have a brand new respect for TMJ sufferers. Like a someone drilling scews in your jaw and neck tightens like you being choked.

Def thought it was neurological but everything came back normal and TMJ treatment is working. (Thank goodness). All I got to say this unlicensed bastard's insurance com is gonna pay for my sgu education and all future earnings if it causesing me problems with studying

Anyhow back on topic. I am up for anything and whenever time.

I plan on getting there early to get a table so if you see an ugly guy in a nikey hat, you found me.

By the way just wondering. how mnay vmd guys vs gals are there???

What do you mean by blah? WHat actually went on? If it's anything like the open house a few months ago, it's gonna be a bit boring.

By blah I mean I didnt pay attention so I can say what went on. Um, a speech, a slideshow, some current students to chat with, coffee, cookies, and maybe some paper handouts. Although whats different is what I got in Jan 06 I got through the mail for Aug 06.
