work in Grenada
You will find it very difficult to get work in Grenada unless you are a citizen or have a work permit. When offered a position ( and you are not a citizen) your employer is legally obliged to obtain a work permit for you at a cost of $1500 ec.
Even if you take a job as a significent other via SGU and you do not have a permit you will probably run foul of the law -which has become tighter due to the new socialist government -and you run the risk of deportation. My advice is to read all those books you never had the time to do and get a good tan! |

no point in working here... i've heard on how much these people get paid (nothing really, about $500 US/month)... that covers my shopping cost only at IGA for the month...
i'm kind of spoiled.. i'd rather just live on loans than slave over a few bux then when i make some money pay the loan back. Your on the island, enjoy living here... go to the beach, learn to cook different foods using what u can find here, go tour around, just relax and spend time with ur hubby and keep him happy but seriously, just enjoy it... dont work for $3/hr. |
