weird question
Hmm..I don't know the response to this question, but to be honest with you.. aren't we all in med school, so we are all in our twenties.. so how do we even get "sexually abused" do you mean sexual harassment?

question
As long as I have been here (this is my 5th semester) nothing like that has even been accused/fired for anything remotely closed to that. Don't worry about situations like that, just apply your abilities to studying instead of worrying with stuff like that.

sexual abuse?
Similar incidents might have been occuring other places, but this is the only incident where I have heard about a bisexual dean at a medical school, caught with child pornography and accused of sexual harrasment on several occations.
Really quite remarkable, but I think the administration at Saba/MUA have dealt with this as I don't see his name on any list of faculty anymore. The students filing a suit in this case won't have an easy time as all this happened outside the US. |

That was MUA

Funnily enough something similar is alleged to have happened at one of MUA's sister schools (St. James) in these days according to what someone at the school just told me.. I think it is time that more facts come out about some of these schools. Again, this has nothing to do with St. Eustatius, but the topic showed up on this forum. I have several friends that are at /have transferred to St. Eustatius and have so far to hear any similar stories from there. |

harrassment
Agreed. The stuff they ur talking about happened at another school.
But harassment still occurs here but in a more sudtle way. One of the professors took a weak female student as a girlfriend . The pair did everything together and went everywhere together. She was always driving his car with or without him in the passenger seat. Even though it’s against written school policy. But nobody could prove that the relationship was sexual so nothing every happened. The student even bragged that nobody could prove anything. The arrangement seemed that the professor would keep her in school and she would supply the goods. The relationship fell apart when the woman had to transfer to antoher school. I guess the prof didn’t hold up his end of the bargain and couldn’t keep her in school like she expected. The point is that a Prof in an apparent position of influence in the school established a relationship with a studenet. Even though she wasn’t enrolld in his class at the time that the relationshbip became ovious he could still be perceived as in a position of power over her. This means that her relationship with the prof was not consensual by default. This constututes harassment in any setting. Just ask Bill Clinton. Women be careful of this guy especially if your grades aren’t good. |
