flights

Flights at this time should be available. You can check the web for flights to St Eustatius. Go to Travelocity.com and put in SXM (St Maarten) and EUX (St Eustatius).
Since you are coming in from California it will take you forever to get here, or at least that is what it feels like. There are several students that come from Ca and leave at 10pm the night before they get to Statia. December 10th is going to be a very popular day to leave so get your tickets as soon as possible (not like today or anything)
US Airways is probably not an option for you but Jetblue maybe. YOu can take Jetblue from Ca to San Juan and then take Liat or Caribbean Sun from San Juan to SXM (it will be a hassle but may be cheaper) and then take WinAir from SXM to EUX..I personally perfer to take American Airlines all the way to SXM and then switch to WinAir and just bite the bullet on the cost.
Travel day is always a long day for everyone so just be prepared.
