which semester were you applying for? When did the letter come and have you talked to the school about it yet?

The credit crunch is hurting student loans, only loans like Stafford and GradPlus seem to be the ones still holding water. Teri filing for bankruptcy is bad bad news.

I trasnferred over in Feb for clinicals. I got word that all pre-approved and new application will not have any disbursements. The school is working very,very hard to secure other funding but for now, we can call our local rep and ask about grants or go to a local bank. America is in a national crisis and it has having real negative effects

I'll answer this, find some money in the couch and hope the school doesnt go under becouse you may have to start competely over if you have to trans fer to an american school. (all carribean schools are being affected w few acceptions (i.e. title 4 schools))

Thanks for telling stratiastudent. I was starting to get really discouraged as a new comer in the fall. I know we need to know, but having a little faith might make the difference.
