New York Approval is Dragging
We have heard that there would be an attempt to seek NY approval for Statia Is that a reality with the new management? Did it go dead when Dr. ********* departed or what?

New york approval pleaseeee answer
has anyone heard any update on ny approval for sesom?? What's taking them so long? Did they get denied and just not saying so?
I know that right now you cannot do residency in ny but can get licensed later, but what if you don't want to get licensed and just do residency in ny? is anyone currnetly doing residency in ny who graduated from a school that was not approved? Also how long till st eust gets approval. Please answer... thanks. |

anyone know what's going on? They have been talking about ny approval for a long time and said the reason they don't have it is because ny requires the school to be up for a certain # of years. Well sesom is older than mua and it seems like mua just got approval , so what's going on???

NY approval has nothing to do with how long the school is...I think you can do NY approval after 2 years or something. It probably cost some money and USE might not want to spend the money or there is just something else wrong. With MUA getting NY approval and AUA possibly getting NY approval (AUA is ~2 years old and already had the NY site visit) and St Matthews having NY approval I think st eustatius will want to get NY and FL approval like literally ASAP, within months...another thing that USE needs to do is have a US semester in Florida or something like some of the other schools.

Yeah, I emailed her and was told that, but it is skeptical and only in words and maybe paper, but nothing has been started. The 5th semester and NY approval would make my mind up on attending USE...especially 5th semester...and you can not do residency in NY...or you might be able to do residency BUT you will not ever be able to practice there, something along those lines. Weird thing is I don't think you can do residency but I know a guy from St James who went to St James all 4 years and went to NY for residency, so I guess it's okay as long as you either don't practice in NY or you practice elsewhere for a year or two and use reciprocity to go back to NY.

They will eventually have to get it to be competitive, it really isn't as important as people make it out to be...it is just for clinicals and residency in NY...about being denied, I would like to know? Were they denied previously and now going to reapply?

PLEASE DOES ANYONE HAVE MORE INFORMATION ON STATIA EVER GETTING NY???
The School said that the only thing holding them back from getting ny is the # of years required for the school to be running... which is absolutely not true since MUA got approved and opened after statia!!! Don't go to this school unless it gets NY... it's gonna hurt you in the long run when you start applying for residency. There are so many programs in NY and boosts ur chances of landing the residency you want. |
