Why is there no St. Chris Residency Placement list?

Hi, I have been looking into foreign schools for quite some time now and looking to attend next year.

St. chris definitely has something to hide because they don't list clinicals. US clinicals are important, some people (like Daryln) can keep telling themselves it is not important.

So where is the residency placements lists of the 100 St. Chris people that are in residency? What specialty did they match into and where? I don't want a list of "this is some of the places." I want a list like Ross and SGU put out. AUC also has a list they just put up on their website.

    so?

I know they won't release clinical sites, which is ridiculous.

------->But I don't know about their residencies. What you can't release those either?

When you learn where students of SC do their clinicals, what will you do then? Will you be satisfied? Will that impact how well you do in your school now? Will it make you transfer to SC or will you find reasons to undermine whatever is happening at SC?

I'm just as curious as you are...

I am not in medical school right now. That is the problem, I am out researching all the options I have. One of these "options" is St. Chris and there is no hard information on anything here. There empty spots when I do research on St. Chris. Are you in medical school right now?

    residency list

If you think about it why what could the school be hiding by not releasing residency lists?
    Absolutely nothing!
Before something another topic starts more controversy on the forum try calling the school at their NJ office or the UK office and see if they can help you.
As a student who is currently attending SC in the Luton Campus the school is not hiding anything. I am just asking that you take a minute and take a step back and think about it rationally with out following the hysterical crowd. The school is not what is going to get you a residency it is
1 How well you will do on your USMLE step 1 exam foremost.

You can go the best school in the world and do poorly on your step 1 and will not get the residency of your choice. Where as you can go to an off shore school or an average school in the US, Rock your step 1 and the better you do the better your chance at getting the residency you want.
Doing well on the step 1 exam all comes down to how hard you are going to work while you are in your basic sciences. Someone who studies and works their butt off for the two years of basic science will of course do better than someone who is doing the min amount of work needed to get through.
It is all up to you on the residency that you get not where you go. Go and ask any doctor this and they will tell you the same thing.

    again

Again, you are thinking of poor excuses. Residency match lists are good way to determine student quality, step 1 prep and school recognition.

For example, SGU and recently now Ross, have been getting competitive residencies. Residency directors know this and now they take a second look at applicants from those schools thinking they are very capable students.

If it's no big deal then why not release them? Every day that goes by is adds more fuel to them hiding something.

As a prospective student, I've already called their numerous offices all I can. I've already said this before, they avoid the question.....and they're pretty good at it too.

    re

the residency list shows a couple of things. one, it shows that people do get spots, and you can see firsthand that folks do well on the usmle and get spots. second, it gives you people outside of the school that can give you information on how well the school prepared them. it is foolish to listen to the early students for several reasons, one important one is that they really don't know enough yet. third, it shows which hospitals may be receptive to future grads of st chris.

residency lists are an important thing to check out, even for students going to US schools.

when you think about your argument, the opposite is actually true. if st chris does such a great job at placing students they have nothing to gain by not disclosing this info. the school could be hiding lots. maybe all the grads get podunk primary care residencies. maybe they don't match everyone. either way, if the school does well, the

and, i know i will get the right to privacy crap...i don't buy it. publish a list of hospitals and specialties. another common defense is that st chris doesn't force its grads to disclose where they are from. more poo-poo. even if you can get a voluntary list from 50% of the grads, it would help. st chris merely has to ask, and i can assure you that at least half the grads would disclose. it is the least they can do, this school helped them achieve their dreams, right?

anyhow, to most schools this is a reasonable request. potential students really need to take this into consideration. lots of schools can back up what they say. so, buyer beware, and until the school opens up a bit, these comments will be common on this forum.

    JokerABC...

I do not mean to say this in a rude way, although you may take it differently...I think if you have doubts about SC, try and look at another school that fits your standards. I am assuming that you've read the posts all through this forum and if I were in your shoes (with doubts and secrecy involved), i'd take a good look at more established schools. One school I can point you to is Charles University if you'd like to study in Europe...and the schools in the Caribbean that have proven time and again that they can can graduate and place students into proper residencies. Don't waste your time and effort getting this info from this forum...it may come out in due course, but in the meantime, research other schools as well.
Again, pardon me if this post will come to you in a rude way...I don't mean it to be.

    Thanks,

    Rob

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Im a little bit confused about the number of people who matched.
According to the office, they said that 60 people have matched and the moderator in some post said around 100 people matched. Thats a difference of 40 which is quite a bit.
ANother thing i dont understand is how can they not know where those students matched? almost everyone knows where people matched because they are friends and they pass information between them. It also follows the rule 6 DEGREES OF SEPERATION
