Tuition Costs at ST CHRIS

Another item lacking on the St Christopher webpage besides the faculity names is the tuition costs for 4 years.

This is basic information that should be appearing on the webpage so that potential students know what there dealing with.

I recieveed a package today from the school stating the tuition costs, here it is
Tuition
Semister 1 ----$6500 tuition
$2550 housing
$500 books
Semister 2----$6500 tuition
$2550 housing
$500 books
Semister3-----$6500 tuition
$2550 housing
$750 books
Semister4-----$6500 tuition
$2550 housing
$500 books
Semister 5----$6500 tuition
$2550 housing
$750 books
Semisters 6,7,8,9,10,11 are $7500 per semister
**malpractice insurance included
All this info should be on the webpage, unless nobody is allowed to post it like the faculity

After the first term you do not have to be in the student housing so that is variable. Also, you don't usually buy all the books the school recommends nor do you buy them all from the school, so those costs are also variable.

Here is the link you require however, regarding tuition (please note, tuition changes are going into effect as of january so the website still says $6,000/term for basic sciences)
http://www.stchris.edu/pages/tuition.htm

And here is the info about housing. (note: housing costs are also increasing as of jan so the website still says $2250/semester)
http://www.stchris.edu/pages/housing.htm

And here is the info on books: (Note: please see http://www.mdparadise.comfor the student recommended book list)http://www.stchris.edu/pages/books.htm

Do you realize that the website doesn't even mention the name of the school???? OMG, I can't find where it says the school is in Luton either!! No course outlines or semester breakdown or yearly schedule or virtual tour!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHH, oh yeah, there it is....

You seem to want to know it all....

but in the process, you are criticizing something that is miniscule. I believe mtt, bts, and some other students already mentioned that the website is being updated. You are finding ways or means for not applying to SC, then, please go with your gut feeling and don't.
If you think other schools will be more receptive to your questions or "digging", then once again, go with whatever you think will be beneficial for you and you alone.
I've known people like you. Getting stressed out over little issues ...please evaluate yourself as med school will not be easy. Your stress level will rise exponentially which may affect the way you go about studying. From then on, you'll scrutinize everything and may end up blaming SC for your failures.
Again, take it from an old goat, if you think SC is hiding things from prospective students, then stay away from it as far as you can. Find schools that are more compatible with your perception of a what a school should be. I believe NeilC is attending a very good school (in Europe also) and it would bide you well to research about that as well.
Towards the end, you will have to decide on where or what school to attend. But if you are not happy/satisfied now with the way SC conducts its business, then you'll never be happy with it at all. Once again, follow your instinct and apply somewhere else, you'll be better for it (and also SC).

PM me if you have questions regarding this post.

Thanks.

Rob

I agree with robpabalate. If you are uncomfortable, there are many other quality schools such as St. George, Ross, AUC, Charles Uni, as well as others. I believe SC is a great option, but it is not the ONLY option.
