It's called flooding and trolling. You cant go on reposting the same statement many times and bait people into arguments. How is it not trolling or flooding to do that?

Discussion is what this place is for not your personal soapbox. You and other's gang up on anyone with the opinion that St. Chris can overcome this.
This IMO is utterly ridiculous. SC is facing a very significant and grave challenge (maybe the most important in the history of the school) which potential students should know about and your argument boils down to "I view it as a violation of TOS".

That's very pedantic at best. I'd like to hear the opinions of other mods.

BTW, please read my scenarios about the possible outcomes on the other thread. I clearly offer multiple possibilities.

School and Senegal provides ... and yes, we wait.
First off there has been many statements in the last 2 weeks telling people not to go at all:

so, call it bashing, if you want. i don't really care. if you decide to go to st chris, i wish you all the best. i don't agree with your decision, i think it is foolish, but hey, what do i know? you don't have to do what i want, and i truly hope it works out for you. but, i will continue to post my opinion, as is my right, and i will continue to point out the real problems and potential problems that will haunt you as a st chris student or grad.

happy holidays!

nobody is on here to bash st chris. the problem is that the school does have a lot of issues. that is not the forum members' fault, and you cannot blame us for trying to make potential students aware of the problems.

many posters in the past have lied. the school has lied. we have pretty good reason to be skeptical. but, that doesn't mean that we assume every st chris poster is a liar. i look at each post, and what it says. frequently, it is a load of crap. but, if more students did post here, it would dilute the few students from st chris that are full of it.

whuds, i hope the school does come clean, and grow into a respectable and trustworthy school. but, they have a long way to go. and, until they prove that they are reliable and trustworthy, everything that is said should be questioned and verified.

this sort of deciet is unfortunately woven into the history of st chris. the admin should have been better from the start. compare st chris to smu...one was decietful, one was straightforward. guess which one is thriving now, and which is having constant issues? st chris truly brought this on themselves, both by having a risky business plan and by refusing to be forthright about risks and limitations. the only people that will really get screwed are the students, and that is horrible, and exactly what i didn't want to happen.

Yes new students should defer or go else where until the outcome is clear but to continue to repost for now is just not right.

Why should they not have access to this information?

(Because, by not reposting it one is effectively denying them access to it.)

You may not like it, the SC admin certainly doesn't like it, but that's the whole point of fora like this one. The truth bubbles to the surface. In this case, the inconvenient (for SC) facts of the matter are as PathOne pointed out above.

The facts pointed out by PathOne but this was posted over 3 weeks ago and because people keep going off track it has been reposted many times.

SO I take the side of the "under dog" here and debate in the St. Chris corner. I get accused and attacked because of this Why? Because I can't just sit and let this be a one sided debate. I think there are two sides to this. I do think my side is weak, I do think that the Admin for St. Chris has made many mistakes but this is the problem, what if the school told the truth this time and Senegal did and has supported the school since 2000?
What then? It would be odd to see all of these same people here posting how great that is. As above I have stated people should not go and defer also.
The tone of the posts above are very Harsh.

As far as my postion, as far as I know I have the same rights as you do in free thought and speech.

You are, of course, welcome to post your opinions as we all are.

The problem becomes when one uses one's role as a moderator to stiffle discussion for what I consider to be very pedantic reasons.

If someone asks about the situation, why should we (collectively) not be allowed to reply, even if it interferes with YOUR sense of a balanced story?

If your rules (forgive me, as I can't find a better phrase) were to be enforced, VMD would lose all of its value as a place to discuss the pros and cons of off-shore schools.

[Aside: Even if SC overcomes it current difficulties with the GMC, there is at least one reason why its business model continues to represent a very high risk to its customers (e.g. students and potential students).]

MIKLOS they are enforced, flooding and trolling is prohibited here. I'm not the one who is tries to stop the balance. the constant bickering and statements like "your Dellusional" (against TOS) is wrong. I'm fine with the opinions by you and others but hey to continue to say the same thing over and over is non productive. Give me a break, you can't win a debate so people here go to name calling and childish stuff. I may agree with some of what you post but I still think St. Chris will pull out of this, I don't know if I have been lied to as of yet. I hope I have not.

Besides since it is mostly opinion who's to say you and others are always right? I think balance is others opinions as well. My postion as Mod has nothing to do with it. I can post as myself which is what I have done. Mods have opinions too. I do not think I'm the only source for the school, I think some of the points are good ones brought up by others. But as I posted before there is a "GANG UP" feel here. Us and Them and it shouldn't be that way.

Nope you asked how it is against TOS to keep posting the same thing over and over. Sorry if you felt that way.
Also If I thought there were violations then I would give alerts and warnings. I think it gets completely circular to continue discussing something that has not been finished yet. There are questions not answers yet as far as the GMC goes.

Miklos is hardly a troll. Indeed,he is one of the most informative and responsible posters on this forum. I am afraid you are going to have to look elsewhere for trolls. And yes, I would agree that you are delusional if you believe that rehashing an argument is a violation of the TOS. You would have to shut down valueMD if you applied that standard. (witness steph's many repetitive posts as well as my own).

It seems to me that you are looking for ways to squelch discussion --which should be against TOS.
Never called him a troll, it was in answering the questions asked. As far as people free to post, how come I get attacked for my opinions because they are on the "other side"?

If you read the posts here it has been clear that St. Chris students can't say how they like the school. There is a continued history here, I have never lied and continue to post that people should defer but as soon as I say a positive I get attacked, as soon as I say I'm tired of the same thing being posted over and over and it is posted this is to inform people, well who might I add? We all know the story. As for new people I made a sticky now.

How in the heck can I squelch discussion? By posting? Come on thats ridiculous!

As far as responsable it is not anyones responsability to "save people" from a school. It is up to the individual. Yes tell them about the school but to feel that you must save them well........ Most of these posters will not even let the current students tell their side with out all of this. How does that serve the site?

BTW you are insulting/ attacking me now please edit.

I want to add, I have openly posted that current people should defer going to St. Chris since the GMC story has broke. I even posted that if you were accepted else were then go there.

Just because I went to the school and I am the MOD for the site does not mean I have opinions and does not mean I tell people to go to the school.

I'm a student and I have a prospective about the school after going to it.

And now I have repeated myself too much.

Good Day.
